IS2 Workforce Solutions is seeking a dependable Shipper & Receiver to join busy warehouse teams. If you enjoy a variety, teamwork, and staying on your feet, this job is for you!

Job Types: Temporary to Permanent

What You’ll Do:

Receive, inspect and unload incoming shipments to verify quantity and condition of goods.
Unload and properly store received inventory in designated areas.
Pick, pack, and load outbound orders onto delivery trucks.
Create crates for shipment; assist with transfers as required.
Wrap and prepare products for shipping; palletizing items to travel safely.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipping and receiving activities.
Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment.
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.
Working in confined space and/ or cold environments (travelling in/out of refrigerated (~4C).
Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Technical Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, in a distribution, logistics or warehousing operations.
Experience with RF Scanner is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.
Proficiency in using order entry systems and inventory management software is an asset.
Produce / fresh food experience preferred for some Clients.
Basic computer and math skills.
Must be able to lift 55 lbs.

Equipment Experience

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
Counterbalance forklift experience is an asset
Power jack experience is an asset
Experience with refrigerated reefer trucks is preferred
Experience working within confined areas (coolers) and/or with different racking systems (pushback racking, racks that are 2-3 pallets high, 5 pallets deep, etc.) at for some Clients locations
Experience with RF Scanner is an asset but not required
Experience with a Vocollect Headset is an asset but not required

Special Conditions Of Employment:

This position involves standing, walking, heavy lifting, and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Must have CSA-approved safety boots
Must be Health & Safety conscious
