Job description
Quantum Property Inspections is looking for a motivated home inspector in the Calgary/Airdrie area, preferably with trades certifications and experience in either carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or residential construction / repair experience. Tools and transportation are provided as this will be an employee position. On-the-job training in Red Deer will be provided to the ideal candidate. Preference will be given to someone having completed, or nearing completion of, an accredited home inspector certification program. The ideal candidate will be trained on the job in residential inspecting and use of reporting software, WETT inspections, sewer scope inspections, and mold and asbestos sampling. Training rate is $25.00/hr, hours will be flexible come the winter months.
This is fast paced job that requires strong focus and attention to detail, organizational skills and strong familiarity with computers, software and technology. The job is physically demanding, as inspectors are required to climb through attics, crawl through crawlspaces, carry heavy ladders and walk on some rooftops.

Residential home inspections include a thorough and comprehensive, non-invasive inspection of the visible and accessible components of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of homes, including foundations, roofs, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and more, in compliance with the InterNACHI Standards Of Practice.
- Identify structural and mechanical issues, potential hazards, and needed repairs.
- Provide detailed inspection reports, including photos, for clients in a timely manner.
- Communicate findings to clients in a clear, professional manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Adhere to safety standards and company protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Home Inspector (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in home inspection, construction, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a schedule efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
