Job Description:
The CNC Machinist is responsible for complex setups and operation of multi axis CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience with CNC turning Centers including setup and operation of CNC Live Tool turning equipments.
· Perform regular preventative maintenance to minimize the need for repairs
· Consider relative costs and determine the best course of action
· Inspect equipment and materials to define the cause of operating errors
· Conduct tests and inspections of processes to evaluate quality and performance
· Evaluate processes and recommend changes or alterations for improved efficiency
· Establish work procedures for formulating new products
· Converse with the leadership team and co-workers to establish requirements for ongoing projects
· Attend meetings and communicate thoughts and ideas clearly so others will understand
· Maintain stability among shifts by providing accurate progress reports and documenting irregularities
· Analyze information, evaluate results and implement solutions to respond to demands and deadlines
· Complete quality inspections and ensure the work area is kept clean
· Use good judgment to determine measurements and select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used
· Keep up to date with new technical knowledge and information and apply it accordingly
· Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, specifications and drawings to manufacture products and components
· Document actions through accurate production and quality reports. Any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
· MasterCAM programming experience considered an Asset.
- Setup and Operating of Swiss Type lathe considered an Asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
