About the Position
This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and operation of Woodley Acres Pet Resort.
The successful candidate will divide their time between our Regina and Indian Head locations, with the majority of scheduled hours based at our Regina facility.
Applicants must be comfortable travelling between both locations and possess reliable transportation.
Primary Responsibilities
Grounds & Landscaping
- Operate commercial zero-turn lawn mowers
- Grass cutting and trimming
- Weed whacking and edging
- Weed control and property upkeep
- Tree and shrub maintenance
- Seasonal planting and landscaping
- General property beautification
- Dog patio cleaning and maintenance
- Fence and gate inspections
- Outdoor sanitation and waste removal
Winter Operations
- Snow removal
- Ice chipping
- Sanding and ice melt application
- Sidewalk and parking lot maintenance
- Early morning snow clearing
- Winter property inspections
Facility Maintenance
- Painting
- Minor carpentry repairs
- General handyman tasks
- Installing fixtures and equipment
- Basic repairs and preventative maintenance
- Equipment inspections
- Property improvement projects
- Identifying maintenance concerns before they become larger issues
Pet Care Support
During slower maintenance periods, you'll become part of our Pet Care team by helping with:
- Supervising daycare dogs
- Walking and exercising boarding dogs
- Cleaning guest suites
- Feeding and watering pets
- Monitoring dog behaviour
- Maintaining safe play groups
- General facility cleaning
- Supporting the Pet Care team wherever needed

Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with the following experience are encouraged to apply:
- Minimum 1 year experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, facility maintenance, agriculture, construction, parks maintenance, golf course maintenance, or similar work
- Experience operating commercial lawn equipment (especially zero-turn mowers)
- General maintenance or handyman experience
- Painting, repairs and installation experience
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver's Licence
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between Regina and Indian Head
Pet care experience is considered an asset—but we are happy to train the right individual.
Scheduling Expectations
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility.
Applicants should be available for:
- Early mornings (especially during winter snow events)
- Occasional split shifts
- Rotating weekends
- Statutory holidays when scheduled
- Seasonal overtime as required
- Weather-related call-ins when necessary
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding role.
Applicants should be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Walk and stand for extended periods
- Work in all Saskatchewan weather conditions
- Operate commercial maintenance equipment safely
- Perform repetitive physical tasks
- Bend, kneel, climb, shovel, rake and work outdoors throughout the seasons
