ABOUT IN-EX PLASTERING & STUCCO INC.
In-ex Plastering & Stucco Inc. is a proud Manitoba company with a 25+ year history of delivering high-quality cladding and building envelope solutions across Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, and Southeastern Saskatchewan. We work on commercial, multi-family, institutional, and large-scale residential projects, and we're known for a team-oriented culture built on quality, safety, and servant leadership.
THE ROLE
We're looking for experienced, safety-conscious installers to join our growing team specializing in high-performance building envelope systems. This role focuses on the precise installation of Air and Vapour Barriers (AVB), Cascadia Clip and ISO Clip thermal break cladding attachment systems, and a variety of metal cladding and panel systems — including James Hardie fibre cement, Lux panels, ACM (Aluminum Composite Material), and other metal cladding — on commercial, multi-family, institutional, and large-scale residential projects. You'll contribute directly to energy-efficient, code-compliant wall assemblies that reduce thermal bridging and enhance building performance. If you take pride in doing the details right, this is the kind of work where craftsmanship shows. Reports to: Owner.
Ambitious but new to some of these systems? If you've got solid exterior/envelope experience and the right attitude, we'll train you on the proprietary systems (Cascadia Clip, ISO Clip) and get you the manufacturer certifications (James Hardie, Lux, ACM). This is a career-growth role, not just a job.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Air & Vapour Barrier (AVB) Installation
- Install AVB membranes with proper surface preparation, priming, lapping, and sealing.
- Detail penetrations, transitions, and complex geometries to ensure continuous airtightness.
Thermal Clip & Cladding Attachment Systems
- Install Cascadia Clip and ISO Clip fibreglass thermal spacer systems on steel, concrete, or wood substrates.
- Integrate with continuous insulation such as mineral wool, polyiso, and rigid foam.
- Attach Z-girts, hat channels, and other support framing to spec.
Panel & Cladding Installation
- Install and finish exterior panel and cladding systems, including James Hardie fibre cement, Lux wall panels, Vic West AD300 panels, ACM panels, and other metal cladding, rainscreen, and composite systems.
- Ensure all installations are level, plumb, weathertight, and completed per manufacturer specifications, architectural drawings, and project requirements.
On-Site Coordination & Quality
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for complex wall assemblies.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, estimators, and other trades to coordinate sequencing and maintain schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all company and site safety protocols (WHMIS, fall protection, scaffolding, etc.).
- Perform quality control checks and assist with inspections.
- Travel to project sites across the region as required (company vehicles and accommodations provided where applicable).
WHAT YOU NEED
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in exterior building envelope installation, with specific background in AVB systems, thermal clips (Cascadia Clip, ISO Clip, or similar), and panel/cladding systems (James Hardie, Lux, Vicwest, ACM, or equivalent metal/composite materials).
- Strong understanding of building science, including thermal bridging, continuous insulation, rainscreen design, and relevant building codes (Manitoba Building Code, National Energy Code).
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, blueprint reading, and precise installation techniques for various panel systems.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean abstract.
- Physical readiness: able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and perform physically demanding tasks at heights.
- Reliable, punctual, positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and techniques.
NICE TO HAVE
- EIFS/stucco experience is a strong asset.
- Fall protection and aerial work platform certifications (training provided if needed).
- Manufacturer-specific training such as James Hardie or ACM systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team with strong attention to detail and quality.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $28–38/hour depending on experience, plus overtime opportunities (project-dependent).
- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Training on proprietary systems (Cascadia Clip, ISO Clip) and manufacturer certifications (James Hardie, Lux, ACM).
- Safety equipment provided.
- Career-growth opportunities in a stable, expanding Manitoba-based company with a strong project backlog.
- A team-oriented culture focused on quality, safety, and servant leadership.
