We are currently seeking CNC Machinist for our 5-Axis SCM CNC machine from across Canada who are interested in relocating to Greater Toronto Area for an exciting opportunity with our rapidly growing company - one of the largest Millwork Shops in Canada. This role is ideal for Experienced CNC operators with strong woodworking skills and ability to edit / revise G-code, interpret complex shop drawings, take pride in fabricating high quality custom architectural Millwork

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain 5-axis CNC machinery to fabricate custom wood parts and panels according to project specifications.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to troubleshoot and correct G-Code
- Interpret Microvellum blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate execution of machining programs.
- Work with Programming department to read, and troubleshoot G-code for optimal toolpaths, speeds, and feeds.
- Load/unload materials, secure workpieces, and change tooling as required.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and calibrations to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and project managers to resolve production issues or design changes.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures and company standards.
- Assist in material yield optimization and suggest improvements for machining efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience operating CNC routers in a woodworking or architectural millwork environment.
- Experience in high-end commercial and/or institutional wood millwork.
- Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC machines; familiarity with SCM is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading and editing G-code; ability to troubleshoot and optimize code manually.
- Knowledge of woodworking tools, techniques, and materials (solid wood, P-Lam, veneers, MDF).
- Familiarity with CAM software is a strong asset.
- Ability to read shop drawings and fabrication documents with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Hours of Work Shift availability will be discussed during the hiring process.
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; optional overtime after 40 hours per week between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

As part of our hiring process, selected candidates may be required to complete a 1-week paid hands-on interview to demonstrate their skills and experience in a real work environment. Candidates must be willing to participate in this hands-on assessment.
