Due to strong growth in our business and continued plans for expansion, Floral Express is looking for a new role in the Company, Warehouse Technician.
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for assisting Operations in loading and unloading trucks and general maintenance for trucks and other mechanical devices. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. Start and end times may change due to floral holidays, heavier volume days, etc. Some Saturday work may be required, especially during floral holidays.
Key Responsibilities
· Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
· Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documents
· Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies
· Organize, store, and rotate inventory picking, packing, labeling, and staging products
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, skid steer, drive truck and other material handling equipment safely
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
· Perform routine inspections of company trucks and warehouse equipment
· Complete engine oil and filter changes and other general maintenance of trucks
· Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or required repairs to the Operations Manager
· Maintain maintenance logs and service records for company vehicles
· Ensure compliance with transportation, warehouse, and company safety standards
· Support other warehouse and operational functions as assigned
· Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively
· Work collaboratively with drivers, warehouse staff, and leadership
· Other duties as prescribed.
Required Knowledge and Experience
· High School Diploma
· Must be a team player with a proactive, positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
· Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Previous warehouse and shipping/receiving experience preferred
· Experience loading/unloading trucks
· Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
· Full G license
· Experience driving forklift, skid steer, etc required.
