Augury Healthcare is seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for contract opportunities with Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services (NLHS).
This opportunity is ideal for skilled perioperative nurses with strong Operating Room experience who are looking for a rewarding travel nursing assignment while supporting surgical services across Newfoundland.
The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care while working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiology teams, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Compensation & Travel Support
- Hourly Rate: $75 – $80/hour, dependent on experience and qualifications
- Per Diem Allowance Provided
- Travel Support Provided
- Accommodation Provided

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current active Registered Nurse license or eligibility to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing experience
- Recent experience in an acute care surgical environment
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and perioperative nursing standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a surgical team
Required Certifications & Supporting Documentation
Candidates must provide:
- Current BLS certification
- Updated resume highlighting Operating Room experience
- Valid nursing license documentation
- Proof of perioperative/Operating Room training or certification (if applicable)
- Immunization records and occupational health documentation required for onboarding
- Any additional documentation required by NLHS
Responsibilities
- Provide circulating and/or scrub nursing support within the Operating Room
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and ensure safe perioperative care
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention and control standards
- Assist surgical teams throughout procedures
- Monitor patient safety before, during, and after surgery
- Complete accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Provide compassionate, patient-centred care throughout the surgical experience
