Job Overview
Ontario Coachway is seeking a reliable, professional, and safety-focused Chauffeur / Driver to join our transportation team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely, comfortably, and efficiently to airports, appointments, events, and other destinations. This role requires exceptional customer service, strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Ontario Coachway operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Applicants must have flexible availability and be prepared to work early mornings, daytime shifts, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers to and from their scheduled destinations.
- Provide professional, courteous, and attentive customer service throughout each trip.
- Arrive on time and follow all assigned schedules, routes, and dispatch instructions.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of assigned runs, mileage, pickup times, drop-off times, and other required information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff regarding schedules, delays, passenger updates, vehicle concerns, and any issues encountered during transportation.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming vehicle environment.
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.
- Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
- Represent Ontario Coachway professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of driving experience.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence or higher.
- Clean and current driver’s abstract.
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Proven experience in professional, commercial, chauffeur, passenger, or customer-service-based driving is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in changing traffic, weather, and scheduling conditions.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload passenger luggage.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Ontario Coachway location.
- Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and short-notice assignments.
Experience Required
Driving: Minimum 10 years required.
Licence and Certification Requirements
- Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence or higher.
- Driver’s Abstract.
- Vulnerable Sector Check.
Availability Requirements
Ontario Coachway operates around the clock. Candidates must be available for a variety of shifts, which may include:
- Early mornings
- Daytime hours
- Evenings
- Overnight hours
- Weekends
- Statutory holidays
- Short-notice transportation assignments
