Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation to ensure smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and grow within the food industry.

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals.
Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, floors, and storage spaces.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours.

Skills

Experience in serving and food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment.
Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes.
Strong understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff effectively.
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to health and safety regulations.
