Job Summary
CHARCUT Downtown Calgary is seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, expertly mixing drinks, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. As a vital part of our team, the Bartender will ensure that every guest has a memorable experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to recipes and customer preferences.
Engage with guests in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with legal regulations.
Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
Uphold food safety standards when handling food and beverages, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices.
Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple guests efficiently during peak hours.

Experience

Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in bartending or beverage service roles.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and order processing.
Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in developing their skills further. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences through exceptional beverage service.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
