Job Description
FLINT is seeking a PMO Governance Specialist for our Calgary office to play a pivotal role in strengthening project governance, driving compliance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across our project portfolio. Reporting to the Director, PMO, you will leverage your analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and ability to uncover root causes to ensure project delivery remains consistent, auditable, and aligned with established standards. Working closely with both field teams and executive stakeholders, you'll help protect margin, reduce risk, and enhance decision-making through audits, governance oversight, and the effective use of digital workflow and reporting tools.
What would you be doing?
Governance, Audit & Compliance

Lead and support PMO audits on projects, to assess adherence to governance frameworks, stage gate requirements, and process tools and timelines

Support the continuous improvement of FLINT’s PMO framework and stage gates
-
Identify non-compliance trends and systemic gaps; drive corrective action plans and follow-through

Establish and monitor governance KPIs (e.g., gate compliance, audit findings)
Digital Tools & Workflow Automation

Utilize PMO governance tools for designing and implementing automated workflows, including:

SharePoint (document control, versioning, structured repositories)
-
Microsoft Power Automate (workflow automation, approvals, notifications)
-
Power BI (governance reporting, audit dashboards, KPI tracking)
Reporting & Analytics
-
Maintain Power BI dashboards to track:
-
Governance compliance
-
Audit performance
-
Project control health indicators
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
-
Be the subject matter expert for:
-
PMO Governance processes
-
Audit and assessment processes
-
Support onboarding and training of project teams on:
-
Governance standards
-
Process requirements
-
System workflows
-
Partner with operations to ensure practical adoption of FLINT standards

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
-
5+ years of experience in construction, maintenance, fabrication, and/or the environmental services industry
-
5+ years of experience in at least one of: PMO governance, project management, project controls, or quality management roles
-
Proven experience supporting or leading internal and external audits and/or formal assessments
-
Strong knowledge of project governance, audit practices, and quality management systems

Experience with ISO 9001 compliant standards, audits, and certification processes is preferred

Demonstrated proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Power Automate, and Power BI
