The Position
Tectonica Management Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and its projects, including payroll. We are seeking a candidate that is committed to a high level of integrity, organization, and attention to detail. This position will lead our Administrative team and work closely with the Board of Directors.

Position Responsibilities
- Full cycle accounting duties, including transaction processing, client invoicing and year end working paper file preparation for the company’s public accountant.
- Quality control for all financial inputs to the Construction Management custom software program.
- Payroll preparation from timesheet review to semi monthly processing and T4 preparation.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support for project planning and execution.
- Lead and mentor administration staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professional development within the department.
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in public accounting or construction industry role
- Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar platform; advanced Excel and Outlook skills required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.

Transition
Our current controller/accountant is phasing out of her role at Tectonica as a step towards her retirement. Understanding the importance of our new Controller/Accountant in Tectonica’ s future, she has offered to stay on to assist in the transition period while it is helpful.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
