We are currently seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) for contract opportunities with Western NLHS.
Position Overview
Augury Healthcare is accepting applications for Nurse Practitioner contract assignments within Western Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services. These opportunities may include long-term care, primary care, and community-based healthcare settings.
Candidates must be available for the full duration of the assignment.
Compensation and Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- $110.00 per hour
- 4% vacation pay
- $150.00 per day per diem once 80 hours are reached biweekly
- Up to $1,050.00 per week non-taxable per diem
- Shared accommodation provided
- Flight reimbursement up to $1,500.00 for round-trip economy flex travel
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Active Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner license
- Availability for the full duration of the assignment
- Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in EPIC
- Previous experience in primary care, long-term care, rural healthcare, or community
- care settings is considered an asset
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced clinical care within the assigned setting. Duties may include:
- Conducting patient assessments and developing care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Prescribing medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and facility leadership
- Supporting continuity of care for residents, patients, and families
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
