Knights of Repair is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a mobile field-service contractor role.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel equipment faults
- Perform field repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Work on excavators, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, cranes, agricultural machinery, and related equipment
- Read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics
- Test repaired equipment and confirm safe operation
- Accurately record labour, parts, photos, findings, and repair notes
- Communicate professionally with clients and the service team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized service vehicle and work area
Requirements
- Relevant heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, forklift, or industrial repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to work independently in field conditions
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record
- Presentable and reliable service truck
- Own tools and appropriate PPE
- Appropriate commercial vehicle and liability insurance
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors
- Professional communication and reliable documentation
Assets
- Ontario 421A certification or registered apprenticeship
- Mobile field-service experience
- Dealership, rental-fleet, or equipment-service experience
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Manufacturer diagnostic software experience

Job Details
- Independent contractor position
- Primarily mobile field service
- Work is primarily available Monday to Friday, with after-hours opportunities when required
- Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and diagnostic capability.
- Service area: Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas
- Branded shirt and cap provided
- Knights of Repair branding for your vehicle provided while performing assigned work

Pay: $25.00-$55.00 per hour

Experience:
