Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a busy medical or dental office setting. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and ensuring smooth office operations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Prior experience with dental or medical office procedures is highly valued, and familiarity with industry-standard software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls appropriately
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Verify patient insurance information and update records accurately
Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments and providing necessary documentation
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Prepare exam rooms and assist with administrative tasks related to patient care
Support the clinical team with clerical duties as needed, including data entry and document management
Handle correspondence, faxing, scanning, and mailing documents as required

Requirements

Medical Office Assistant,
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Healy quest
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience working at the front desk of a healthcare or dental office is highly desirable
Office experience including administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and record keeping
Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.44-$23.06 per hour
