Position Summary
The Azure AI Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing AI‑First solutions using Microsoft ecosystem and Azure cloud platform. This includes multi‑agent workflows, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, AI copilots, and intelligent automation supporting Property Management operations.
This role requires strong Azure AI engineering capabilities combined with solid Azure AI Data foundations to support early proof‑of‑concept (POC) development. The engineer will work under the architectural direction of the Principal Solutions Architect and contribute to establishing the initial AI platform, patterns, and data structures.
Key Responsibilities
AI‑First Solution Development
· Develop AI‑First solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and Azure Functions.
· Implement multi‑agent workflows, RAG pipelines, AI copilots, and intelligent automation.
· Build domain‑specific AI capabilities for maintenance, finance, compliance, and tenant services.
· Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft ecosystem components (Dynamics 365, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams) and other enterprise and external software products.
Azure AI Data Foundations
· Build and maintain early-stage data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric Dataflows.
· Prepare structured and unstructured data for AI workloads (chunking, metadata, embeddings, normalization).
· Create and manage Azure AI Search indexes and vector stores.
· Implement initial data governance practices (Purview, lineage, metadata standards).
Collaboration & Architecture Alignment
· Work closely with the Principal Solutions Architect to ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
· Participate in design reviews, solution planning, and architectural discussions.
· Provide engineering feedback to support refinement of AI‑First patterns and platform components.
Deployment & Operationalization
· Deploy AI workloads using Azure ML, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
· Implement monitoring, evaluation, and performance tracking for AI systems.
· Establish early CI/CD patterns for AI solution delivery.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
· 3–5 years of experience in AI engineering, applied machine learning, or cloud engineering.
· Experience delivering AI solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency with:
-Azure AI Foundry
-Azure OpenAI (GPT‑4o, GPT‑4.1, o‑series models)
-Azure AI Search (vector and hybrid search)
-Azure Functions, Container Apps, App Services
-Azure ML (pipelines, registries, monitoring)
-Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, Semantic Kernel or LangChain patterns)
Data Foundations
· Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric.
· Ability to build ingestion pipelines for files, APIs, SQL, and SaaS systems.
· Strong SQL skills and understanding of schema design.
· Familiarity with data governance tools (Purview).
Soft Skills
· Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently as the first AI engineering resource.
· Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
· High level of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with different Property Management systems.
- Knowledge of leasing, maintenance, tenant communication, and financial reporting workflows.
- Microsoft certifications (AI‑102, DP‑100, AZ‑204, AZ‑900).
Success Indicators
- Delivery of end‑to‑end POCs using both AI engineering and data foundations.
- Establishment of scalable data patterns for future AI roles.
- Implementation of AI‑First solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Consistent alignment with architectural direction and enterprise standards.
