Job Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the Landscape Designer leads client discovery, conceptual and detailed design, and the sale of custom residential landscape projects.
You’ll guide clients through the full creative process while collaborating with the Project Development Coordinator and Operations team to ensure smooth execution.
Your focus is on design leadership, client experience, and sales outcomes, while the Project Development Coordinator handles technical estimating, proposal preparation, and job readiness support.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation & Design

Lead client consultations at greenhouse locations and on-site

Translate client goals into creative, functional, and buildable designs

Develop high-end custom residential landscapes

Present concepts clearly and confidently

Revise designs while protecting design integrity and buildability
Sales & Client Experience

Build trust and guide clients through the design and sales process

Scope and price conceptual designs for early alignment

Review and approve final estimates and proposals

Lead design-phase and completion walkthroughs

Maintain a strong referral pipeline
Project Collaboration

Provide clear design files, notes, and specifications to the PDC

Support accurate estimating through responsive communication

Participate in coordinated handoffs when design intent requires clarity

Conduct site visits to protect design intent during construction
Professional Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects and client timelines

Maintain consultation tracking and weekly updates
-
Support the landscaping division with design leadership
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of residential landscape design experience

Portfolio of completed, buildable projects
-
Strong client presentation skills
-
Knowledge of Edmonton-zone plant material
-
Solid understanding of construction methods

AutoCAD, SketchUp, Dynascape (or similar) experience
-
Estimating familiarity is an asset
-
Field experience strongly preferred
-
No architectural designation required.
