We are looking for a highly skilled Finance and Data Solution Architect to help build the future of our Finance Transformation journey. Using your expertise in Oracle Fusion, IFRS 17, finance data architecture, and cloud technologies, you will design solutions that strengthen financial reporting, data governance, operational efficiency, and adherence to industry regulations.
Own the finance solution architecture for Aviva Canada’s multi-year Finance Transformation program, defining the target state across sub-ledgers, GL, IFRS17 reporting, actuarial integrations, financial controls, reporting, and analytics.
End-to-end finance architecture: Own the architecture across operational systems, sub-ledger, GL, reporting, and analytics layers; support and assure solution designs so they remain aligned to approved architecture principles, patterns, and standards.
Finance data flows, integration, and data architecture: Define event-driven accounting and finance data flow architecture, including integration patterns, data models, pipelines, lineage, governance, and quality controls to support accurate processing, reconciliation, reporting, analytics, and audit-ability.
Sub-ledger, GL, IFRS17, and actuarial integration: Own the architecture approach for sub-ledgers, accounting rules engines, GL integration, IFRS17 reporting, and actuarial-to-finance platform integration, while supporting delivery teams in translating architecture into executable designs.
Controls, reconciliation, and FRCF: Establish architecture that supports the Financial Reporting Control Framework (FRCF), embedding controls, audit-ability, reconciliation, evidence capture, and regulatory compliance into finance processes.
Architecture governance and decision authority: Participate in the architecture governance through design authorities, review forums, and governance processes, approving key architecture decisions and supporting risk-based design decisions.
Cross-functional alignment and influence: Partner with Canada Architecture, Finance Business, Finance Operations, IT, Aviva Group Architecture, Group Finance, Actuarial, Data Engineering, Business, and delivery teams to align with, influence, and shape architecture standards, platform decisions, and executable solution outcomes.
Investment, vendor, and outcome leadership: Support funding and investment decisions through architecture options, technical feasibility, cost-benefit input, and business case contributions; lead architecture input into vendor and platform assessments, including build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions; and define measurable architecture outcomes such as target-state alignment, technical debt reduction, platform adoption, control effectiveness, and reconciliation improvement.
Cloud Finance data platform architecture: Define Snowflake and AWS-based finance data platform patterns for ingestion, processing, analytics, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
Finance data models and semantic layers: Build standardized finance data models, hierarchies, and regulated semantic and performance measurement layers to maintain consistent reporting, analytics, and business interpretation.
Reusable data products: Enable certified finance datasets and reusable data products using medallion architecture that support cross-domain consumption, reduce duplication, and improve trusted data reuse.
