About Us
We are a rapidly growing biotechnology company developing next-generation molecular diagnostics, automated sequencing platforms, and advanced laboratory instruments for public health, environmental monitoring, biodefense, and infectious disease detection.
Our team brings together molecular biology, engineering, software, automation, and manufacturing to develop products from concept through commercialization. We move quickly, solve challenging technical problems, and build technology with real-world impact.
We're looking for a hands-on Molecular Biologist with experience using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) who enjoys experimenting, troubleshooting, and helping turn innovative ideas into commercial products.
The Role
You'll be responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating Oxford Nanopore sequencing workflows while working closely with engineers, software developers, and other scientists.
This is not a purely research position. You'll help build products that move from the laboratory into manufacturing and customer use.
If you enjoy solving difficult technical problems, designing experiments, and seeing your work become part of real products, you'll thrive here.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Oxford Nanopore sequencing workflows
- Prepare DNA and RNA samples for sequencing
- Perform nucleic acid extraction, purification, and quality assessment
- Prepare sequencing libraries and operate Oxford Nanopore instruments

- Analyze sequencing data and interpret experimental results
- Support development of automated sample preparation and sequencing systems
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve products and automation
- Stay current with new Oxford Nanopore technologies, chemistries, and software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Oxford Nanopore Technologies sequencing
- Experience with DNA and RNA extraction techniques
- Experience with PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, and general molecular biology methods
- Strong troubleshooting and experimental design skills
- Excellent laboratory organization and documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Equivalent laboratory experience is valued as highly as formal education. If you've built strong Oxford Nanopore sequencing skills through research, industry, internships, or independent projects, we'd love to hear from you.
