Responsibilities and Duties

Layout, fit, and weld carbon and stainless pipe (TIG, Stick, MIG) in both shop and field settings
Read and interpret piping isometrics, blueprints, and weld symbols
Measure and cut pipe to required lengths using saws, torches, and pipe cutters
Fit and tack weld pipe sections in place, ensuring proper angles and alignment
Work with crew members to rig and install pipe systems safely and accurately
Complete welds to required codes and perform visual checks on finished work
Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition
Follow all safety policies and wear appropriate PPE at all times

Qualifications

Red Seal or equivalent journeyperson welder or pipefitter certification preferred
3+ years of pipe welding and fitting experience in industrial or commercial settings
Proficient in TIG, Stick, and MIG welding on carbon and stainless pipe
Able to read and interpret piping drawings and isometric sketches
Previous TSSA and CWB certifications preferred
Experience working at customer sites, including shutdowns and maintenance work
Strong understanding of welding procedures and safety practices
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Comfortable working at height, in confined spaces, and in outdoor conditions

Job Details

Schedule: 9-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (some overtime and weekend work may be required)
Pay: Based on experience – competitive with benefits
Location: Shop and customer sites across Eastern Ontario
Benefits: Health, dental, and extended health coverage after probation

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
