Responsible for applying advanced ultrasound imaging skills knowledge clinical and technical expertise to increase and enhance the sale and marketing of Olympus Ultrasound Products.
- Provide expertise education and support to the sales team to increase their knowledge and understanding of the EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) line of products.
- Provide expertise and assistant to sales team to complete EUS and EBUS equipment quotes for customers.
- Provides technical imaging expertise clinical training to physicians nurses Biomeds Respiratory Technicians (RTs) reprocessing and support staff in the installation and use of customer EUS and EBUS product(s) which consists of ultrasound processors echoendoscopes miniprobes FNA/ TBNA Needles and other related consumable items.
- Provides extended customer support and or training after product installation and establishes and maintains relationships with physicians nursing management and personnel and other associated personnel at the customer level.
- Troubleshoots identifies and corrects any equipment related adjustments functions or problems and initiates technical support repair or other appropriate response to any issue beyond the Clinical Applications Specialist expertise.
- Supports internal and external education courses/programs and activities related to the clinical usage of ultrasound and gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy products.
- Participates at meetings shows and conventions as required to demonstrate and promote ultrasound GI products.
- Supports the clinical evaluation of new product development.
- Assist with equipment planning order placement logistics and onsite clinical support for physician EUS EBUS training courses.
- Develops and maintains effective knowledge of competitive products and provides input to management and Maintain and update database of EUS EBUS Miniprobe and Competitive accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is helpful but not required.
- Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with abdominal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years clinical ultrasound experience.
- Self starter.
- Knowledge of gastroenterology and or pulmonology specialties is a major advantage.
- Must have effective teaching and training skills to educate physicians nursing technical reprocessing and sales personnel.
- Maintains all certification and or registrations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory daily.
- Occasional need to travel outside territory within region. Overnight stays will be necessary.
- Must be able to travel within Canada and the US to attend training and sales meetings.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work flexible hours (may include some weekends and evenings).
- French-English Bilingual Required.
Preferred:
- Experience with EUS or EBUS preferred.
- Previous business experience in product demonstration installation inservice training and teaching on usage is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills an asset.

Total compensation: $92,500.00 base salary per year + eligibility for a performance-based commission plan, which includes certain non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives. Commission earnings are not guaranteed and are determined by individual sales performance in accordance with the terms of the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.
