HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT (LAUNDRY & ROOMS) – Role Summary
This hybrid position combines commercial laundry operations with guestroom housekeeping responsibilities and plays an essential role in ensuring every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay.

What You’ll Do
· Ensure maximum efficiency and economy of commercial washers and dryers through proper loading, programming, operation and routine cleaning of equipment in accordance with hotel policy and manufacturers’ instructions.
· Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute hotel linens, towels, duvet covers, blankets, drapes and team member uniforms.
· Inspect linens and uniforms for quality, removing damaged or stained items from circulation in accordance with hotel standards.
· Maintain appropriate inventory levels by stocking linen closets, housekeeping carts and laundry work areas.
· Assist with the collection and distribution of clean and soiled linens throughout the hotel while maintaining organized, safe and efficient work areas.
· Clean guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, storage areas and designated public spaces to Wingate by Wyndham brand standards.
· Prepare guestrooms for arriving and stayover guests by making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, removing garbage and recycling, and replenishing guest amenities.
· Ensure guestrooms are properly stocked with amenities, supplies and promotional materials in accordance with hotel standards.
· Report all found property promptly to help reunite guests with their belongings.
· Promote a culture of safety by safeguarding guestrooms, keys and hotel property.
· Follow WHMIS requirements, health and safety procedures, and manufacturers’ instructions for the safe handling and storage of cleaning products and chemicals.
· Inspect housekeeping equipment and report maintenance deficiencies or damaged furnishings promptly.
· Perform other reasonable duties as assigned in support of the successful operation of the Housekeeping Department.
What We Are Looking For
· Completion of high school is considered an asset.
· One to three years of previous experience in hotel housekeeping, commercial laundry or a related hospitality environment is preferred.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to assist fellow team members.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling throughout the workday, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
· Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as operationally required.
