Job Summary
Amar Developments is seeking a reliable, hands-on Construction Site Coordinator / Maintenance Labourer to help monitor, inspect, maintain, and support our active and completed construction sites, for theirs and their subsidiary company(s).
This position combines general construction labour with site inspections, property maintenance, compliance monitoring, and reporting. The successful candidate will travel between multiple locations, identify concerns, complete basic maintenance tasks, document site conditions, and help ensure sites remain safe, secure, clean, and presentable.
The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, physically capable, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of active construction sites, completed homes, vacant lots, and surrounding development areas
- Monitor for safety concerns, violations, infractions, unauthorized work, property damage, poor site conditions, and non-compliance with company or development requirements
- Document concerns using photos, written notes, and inspection reports
- Conduct follow-up inspections to confirm deficiencies or violations have been corrected
- Report urgent concerns involving water, fire, security, vandalism, damage, or unsafe conditions
- Monitor temporary fencing, signage, barriers, garbage bins, portable toilets, site access, and overall site security
- Help ensure builders, trades, contractors, and homeowners follow applicable site and community requirements
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized construction sites
- Remove garbage, construction debris, mud, snow, ice, weeds, and other hazards
- Complete minor repairs, property maintenance, and site-protection work
- Assist with moving materials, loading and unloading deliveries, organizing tools, and preparing sites for trades or inspections
- Install, repair, adjust, or relocate temporary fencing, signage, tarps, and barriers
- Support site supervisors, tradespeople, and construction crews as required
- Pick up and deliver materials, tools, keys, documents, and supplies between locations
- Provide regular updates to management regarding site conditions and completed work
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, property maintenance, inspections, site coordination, or general labour is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify safety, maintenance, and compliance concerns
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently across multiple sites
- Good communication and basic written reporting skills
- Comfortable using a mobile phone for photos, reports, email, and communication
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, shovelling, and working outdoors for extended periods
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are required
- Must follow all safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, or related safety certifications are considered assets
Work Conditions
- Full-time, in-person position
- Work is performed at multiple construction and development sites
- Regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Frequent driving between locations
- Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work may be required for weather events, urgent site concerns, or inspections

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
