Senior Quality Technologist
Optima Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Technologist to support and continuously improve our quality assurance systems, inspection processes, and documentation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands precision manufacturing, CMM programming, dimensional inspection, ISO 9001:2015 requirements, and the importance of accurate documentation. You will work closely with the QHSE Manager, production teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure products consistently meet demanding quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and improve CMM programs, including transferring measurement data into dimensional inspection reports.
- Conduct final inspections of deployment kits and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, standards, and dimensional requirements.
- Prepare and organize inspection documentation for outgoing products.
- Complete and review customer quality documentation and QFiles.
- Maintain gauge calibration schedules and accurate records for measuring and inspection equipment.
- Support supplier qualification, evaluation, corrective actions, and rework coordination.
- Work directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and close corrective actions.
- Update and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and part-specific quality documentation.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and Quality Manual.
- Develop professional inspection-report templates and quality databases using Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper quality records.
- Track and maintain customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Assist with internal audits and occasional quality-control inspections.
- Promote quality awareness and consistent adherence to established standards throughout the organization.
- Support additional quality initiatives and projects assigned by the QHSE Manager.
What You Bring
- Engineering technologist diploma, technical diploma, or related education and training.
- Experience working in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- CMM programming and dimensional inspection experience.
- Strong knowledge of measuring instruments, calibration practices, and inspection procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, standards, and customer specifications.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and quality-system documentation.
- Internal auditing experience and knowledge of audit procedures.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier quality, corrective actions, and product rework.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, and report-template development.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
