Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our Rail Service Design Team is looking for one Rail Performance Management Analyst to provide specialized analysis and coordination in support of GO Transit’s rail system, through operational planning and forecasting activities.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
Minimum of (3) three years of post-secondary education preferably in management, transportation, rail traffic control and logistical planning or another appropriate logistical function.
Minimum of five years progressively related experience in commuter rail operations or another appropriate logistical function or a combination of education and experience considered equivalent will be considered
Knowledge of the Canadian Railway Operating Rules would be an asset.
Knowledge of front-line transit operations, safety programs, transportation planning, and the ability to work independently or as a team member, with good organizational skills.
Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in data management and quantitative analysis Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must successfully complete environmental, safety and any other training required by corporate policy, with the ability to obtain job related certifications as required.
Assets: Rail scheduling and simulation, experience with program language (Python, R, JavaScript, VBA etc,) and data set configuration with statistical models.
