This position covers all of Vancouver for 1 hour visiting home to home and respite type shifts. You MUST be able to do both types of visiting.
We are searching for CHW's who are dedicated to providing the type of care the we would want for our own loved ones and by offering our competitive wages and a phone allowance along with a dedicated support team to back you in the field we have been able to do just that. Level 1 pay rate is $28/hr for home to home community visiting and we do pay 40 cents/km between clients for mileage for home to home visits ONLY. Level 1 pay rate for respite/long shifts in 1 home is $27/hr, no mileage paid for respite shifts.
PT job details : We have PT communty visiting positions available for afternoons. Part time is 3 weekdays, must be the same 3 weekdays each week PLUS every other weekend both sat and sun.
The afternoon time frame is 3pm-11pm. Time frames are not flexible, we do not have shorter time frames and all working days need to be the same time frame. Alternate weekends required, no exceptions.
PT staff receive a $25 monthly phone allowance.
Casual weekend work is available as well, same pay rates. This would be every other or every weekend both sat and sun. This is available for the day time frame 7am-3pm OR the afternoon time frame 3pm-11pm.
Casual staff receive a $15 monthly phone allowance.
Requirements:
Vulnerable Sector Police Check in the last 5 years
Must have CHW or HCA certificate with a current BC care aide registration number and be in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
CPR certificate
TB test results from within 1 year or chest xray from within 2 years
Drivers licence (7N Or 5), a reliable vehicle and insurance in your name.
Responsibilities:
Assisting clients with all aspects of daily living
Food preparation and/or assistance with feeding as required
Light housekeeping such as: dishes, folding laundry etc
