Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Temporary Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to work at our Retail Centre located in Langley, BC.
This position is covering a medical leave as well as a maternity leave for an unknown duration. The position will minimally cover until November 2027.

What you will do:
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support our pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient patient care while providing exceptional customer service. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy and contribute to an outstanding patient experience.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every patient.

Support pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.

Process prescriptions, refill requests, and patient information using pharmacy software.

Direct clinical and medication-related questions to the pharmacist.

Maintain medication and supply inventory, including receiving orders, stocking shelves, and removing expired products.

Contact patients regarding prescription pickups and manage unclaimed prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy procedures.

Maintain accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and infection control standards.

Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to support efficient daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the pharmacy and its patients

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations as well as have:

Diploma from a recognized Pharmacy Technician Training course

Pharmacy experience in a dispensary working a minimum of 1,000 hours is an asset

Pharmacy salesperson/OTC Associate with a minimum of 1,000 hours is an asset
-
Strong understanding of computer applications and Microsoft Word
-
Strong aptitude to adapt to dispensary functions
-
Must be available 7 days a week to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons and evenings

This position is based at the Langley Retail Centre, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
