This role will be located in Vancouver and is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
As the Lead Business Solutions Engineer, you are a hands-on technical lead for all enterprise systems and integrations that serve General & Administrative functions (such as Finance, HR and Legal). You ensure operational and project work is completed according to the business’s acceptance criteria, industry best practices and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) regardless of whether you or an external consultant does the hands-on work. You are a self-sufficient, responsible and skilled custodian for our G&A systems and integrations who understands the value of well-designed processes and documentation. You are a capable technical firefighter and root cause analysis comes naturally to you. You have experience with SOX ITGCs and audits. You build trust and relationships with your team and business stakeholders by engaging with them regularly and you help them understand scope, cross functional business impact and cost, while minimizing technical debt. You approach risk management with transparency and are proactive in proposing mitigation options.
What You'll Do

Own, configure, script, create workflows, and administer core G&A enterprise applications including NetSuite, Coupa (P2P), HRIS system, and others.

Develop and drive the roadmap for optimization, automation, and tech debt reduction.

Effectively communicate business impact and associated risks of technical issues.

Design, build, and maintain system integrations between NetSuite, P2P applications, payroll, equity, and other internal platforms using middleware and ETL tools (Workato).

Establish and uphold SDLC standards, ensuring test cases are written, and UAT results are documented.

Create and maintain role-based permissions, reporting, and system enhancements within NetSuite and related applications.

Lead resolution of complex applications and integration issues, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions across systems and vendors.

Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, releases, and regression testing.

Establish and maintain technical documentation, design decision logs, data flows, and system architecture diagrams.

Facilitate workshops for design decisions, obtaining requirements, and training the business.

Partner with business and IT leaders to ensure technology changes are effectively governed, communicated and adopted.

Provide work estimates and assists with work prioritization.

Support SOX ITGC controls related to financial systems, including access management, change management, and audit readiness.

Partner with IT and G&A leadership to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for reporting and downstream systems.

Provide technical oversight of third-party vendors and system integrators and holds them accountable to delivery standards, SLAs, and contractual commitments.

Create, configure and maintain MCP connectors and other AI related tools.

Bachelor of Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
-
8+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience in NetSuite, middleware and systems integrations.

3+ years supporting Finance teams in NetSuite at a senior level.
-
2+ years solution architecture experience or equivalent, including documentation, leading design decision workshops and creating diagrams.

Experience managing vendors.

Experience designing integrations across enterprise platforms.

Experience proposing new business solution options based on problem statements.

Experience with SOX ITGCs within ERP environments and participating in yearly audits.

Experience using Atlassian, Lucid and Sharepoint.

Experience using InvGate or other similar ticketing system preferred.

Demonstrated SDLC understanding and experience.

Demonstrated NetSuite scripting, workflow, configuration, QA, and system administration skills.

Demonstrated understanding of Finance, including financial system architecture, data structures, finance related concepts, processes and rules.

Demonstrated ability to apply change management principles to support successful technology adoption and minimize business disruption.

Able to troubleshoot systems and data issues independently.

Able to provide work estimates despite ambiguity.

The base salary range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location for which the job is posted and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by a variety of factors and the salary offered may vary depending on the successful candidate’s location and qualifications (including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, education, training, skills, and experience).

The pay range for this role is:
105,000 - 161,000 CAD per year(CA)
