Job Summary
This Hampton Housekeeper position is responsible for the physical cleanliness and upkeep of the Hampton common areas and outdoor space. Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, light maintenance, and washing walls, windows and ceilings. Though working independently, they must be able to develop and maintain a good working relationship with other MPA staff at this worksite.
Duties & Responsibilities
While other duties may be assigned, main duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Sweep and mop hallways and common areas.
- Monitor garbage disposal in common areas.
- Clean bathrooms – floors, sinks, toilets, shower stalls, walls.
- Refill toilet and bath supplies as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of sidewalk in front of building, outdoor space and parking lot adjacent to building
- Maintain inventory control of the janitorial supplies.
- Reporting inventory of janitorial supplies to Program Coordinator for ordering purposes.
- Perform semi-annual strip and waxing of floors.
- Perform back up assistance to Hampton staff in emergency situations.
- Clean and set up vacated rooms.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
