Teacher’s Certificate / B. Education, preferably with a major in one of the following subjects: remedial education, andragogy, English – second language or English – mother tongue.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board
- Experience in adult education.
- Experience in literacy teaching.
- Experience in multi-level classes.
- Experience in teaching the following subjects: English, mathematics, technology, sciences, personal, social and professional development.
- Experience in teaching English as a second language would be an asset
- Knowledge and teaching of the MEES
- Experience in teaching English and French as a second
- Knowledge of the Moodle
Salary & benefits as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $54,119 to $105,432 annually depending on experience and qualifications. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
