Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grill/Fryer Person to join our food service team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and cooking of menu items, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment, and a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items using grills and fryers according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and presented attractively
- Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- Assist in meal preparation, including portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
- Follow all health department guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances safely
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings or weekends if required
