Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service and operational efficiency while fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Manage POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; assist with interviewing and onboarding new staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages or waste
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist in restaurant management tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and operational planning
- Foster a positive team environment through leadership, motivation, and effective communication
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Extensive food service experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality operations
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong background in food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with team management, interviewing potential staff, and training new employees
- Background in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is advantageous
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred; barista or hotel experience is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Pay: $19.00 per hour
