Drake Resources Ltd. is a family-owned business focused on the processing of residual wood products within forestry, recycling, and landfill settings. Our primary focus is converting forestry residuals into biofuel and pellet mill feedstock.

About the Role
Drake Resources is seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead our Prince George operations. This is a boots on the ground leadership role responsible for coordinating field crews, equipment, trucking, and project execution while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
In this role you'll oversee day-to-day operations involving horizontal grinders, excavators, loaders, highway trucks, and support equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable around heavy equipment, and capable of making practical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Lead and support field and shop crews.
- Manage daily field operations by providing leadership and addressing issues as they arise. Coordinating equipment, trucking, and manpower needs.
- Manage site access and logistics.
- Spend time in the field ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Oversee the maintenance and readiness of grinders, loaders, excavators, trucks, and support equipment.
- Work closely with the shop mechanic to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
- Manage equipment mobilizations and demobilizations.
- Manage subcontractor trucking
- Monitor workflow, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
Planning & Administration
- Work with the Procurement Manager on project estimates, costs, and workload forecasting.
- Maintain accurate records of hours, load slips, and operational reports.
- Approve equipment repair invoices and support customer invoicing.
- Coordinate staffing requirements and personnel needs with HR.
- Provide regular updates to head office and maintain communication with clients and subcontractors.
Property Management
- Manage building maintenance and security, including snow removal, landscaping, waste management, etc.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising crews in forestry, construction, or a related industrial environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Strong computer skills and experience with operational reporting and documentation.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 is considered an asset).
