Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE (Early Childhood Education) Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will assist lead teachers in implementing educational programs, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and promoting social and emotional development. Duties
- Support classroom activities by helping plan and execute age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with curriculum standards
- Assist with supervising children during play, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety and order
- Engage children in educational games, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences to promote cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive and inclusive environment
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials, cleaning up after activities, and maintaining a tidy learning space
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans under supervision
- Observe and document children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones for reporting purposes
Skills
- Prior classroom experience or familiarity with early childhood education is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work well with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with disabilities
- Knowledge of basic math concepts suitable for early childhood settings
- Passion for teaching and working with young children to support their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Ability to be patient, nurturing, attentive, and adaptable in a dynamic classroom environment
- Commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive space conducive to learning and development
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
