I’m looking for part-time (with potential for full-time) clinical nurse educator to join the lovely RCH GI group in New Westminster.
The successful candidate will work primarily with me to care for and continue to enhance IBD care in Fraser Health.
Compensation: $50–$56/hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Guaranteed 24 hours per week (flexibility to work from home 1 day per week)
Time Off: 4 weeks of paid vacation
Professional Development: Fully funded annual trip to Toronto for the Mentoring IBD meeting
We have a really fun group of physicians, nurses and staff - every individual in our team is wonderful and collaborative. The candidate will work alongside 2 highly experienced IBD nurses. I’m looking for someone who will fit well in our group and has passion to make a real difference in lives of our IBD patients!
Description:
*Develops, implements, revises and evaluates individualized care plans based on established assessment processes, in collaboration with other health care professionals.
*Enhances patient self-management of IBD through various teaching/education methods including individual counselling.
*Writes timely and accurate patient reports of relevant observations including patient and/or family teaching
*Participates and provides input into clinical case reviews, program development and evaluation, education materials and delivery and other clinical resources.
*Acts as a resource to patients and work collaboratively with health care professionals
*Maintains patient records, documentation and related statistics, as required.
*Performs other related duties as assigned including prescription and Pharmacare renewal/reviews
No prior experience needed. Training will be provided.
Pay: $50.00-$56.00 per hour
