Customer Service Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Engineer to support manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced battery production environment. The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability, troubleshoot technical issues, support continuous improvement activities, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and support automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic mechanical/electrical repairs.
- Support commissioning, setup, calibration, and recovery of production equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting of JIG, CDC, and related production systems.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare daily reports, technical documentation, and service records.
- Maintain equipment logs, Excel spreadsheets, inventories, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Support production during scheduled shifts to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working on manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, maintenance, or industrial equipment support.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and technical documentation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow engineering procedures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, pneumatic systems, servo systems, conveyors, or industrial automation.
- Experience in battery manufacturing, automotive, or high-volume production environments.
