Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (RP(Q))

Canada Speech Tutoring is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (RP(Q)) to join our collaborative multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside healthcare professionals in a supportive private practice serving children and families.
The successful candidate will provide psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and parents experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, social, and mental health concerns, including anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges, adjustment issues, self-esteem concerns, and other mild to moderate mental health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and parents.
- Utilize developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches, including play therapy, when clinically appropriate.
- Provide parent consultation and coaching to support treatment goals.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation using the clinic's electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with Speech-Language Pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, client-centred care.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace that values lifelong learning, diversity, ethical practice, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (RP(Q)).
- Experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred.
- Training and experience in play therapy is highly desirable.
- Experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, attachment-based interventions, or family therapy is considered an asset.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Fluency in Farsi (Persian) is considered a strong asset.

Licence/Certification:
- Registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as an RP or RP(Q) (Required).
Pay: $40.00-$80.00 per hour
