Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor - Food Service to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining a positive dining experience for all guests. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly valued. The Supervisor will play a key role in team management, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food service operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and clean-up processes.
- Manage and train team members on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and customer service standards.
- Oversee POS systems such as Micros POS to ensure accurate order processing and cash handling procedures.
- Lead hiring efforts by interviewing candidates and onboarding new staff members.
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery to guests.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Support restaurant or hotel management in implementing operational improvements.
Requirements
- Proven supervising or team management experience within the food service industry or hospitality sector.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
- Knowledge of restaurant management procedures including interviewing, training, and scheduling staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
- Previous experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality settings is preferred.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Additional experience in barista work or serving roles is considered a plus.

Pay: $18.00-$23.03 per hour
