Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing the framework of residential buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to blueprints and schematics. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry. The Residential Framer will work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver high-quality residential structures efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects
- Construct wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
- Perform window and door installs.
- Operate heavy equipment safely to assist with large-scale framing tasks
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential framing, carpentry, or related construction fields
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Experience with siding installation and general restoration projects is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid <PERSON> (if applicable) or relevant certification preferred but not required
