It's a family-owned Mexican food restaurant recognized for its authentic dishes, great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. We're seeking Dishwashers to continue operating at our high standards and join our incredible team.
Job Overview
As a Dishwasher, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen and restaurant running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll ensure dishes, cookware, and work areas are clean, organized, and ready for service, while supporting the kitchen and front-of-house teams as needed. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy restaurant environment where teamwork is key.
Role and responsibilities:
What are some of the core activities you'll be performing?
- You'll clean and/or polish dishes, silverware, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
- You'll keep the dishwashing machine clean and immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the Kitchen Manager.
- You'll monitor the dishwashing machine's water temperature and chemical levels to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
- You'll perform general cleaning duties, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, recycling, taking the garbage out, etc.
- You'll do stocking and restocking supplies for servers, bartenders, and kitchen team members.
- Food prep duties (you will assist cooks with some task like peeling onions, cutting tortilla for chips and others.)
- You will follow instructions and perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.[CR1]
- You'll perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
Requirements:

- Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is an asset

- You are a team player, quick learner, energetic, respectful, proactive, punctual and reliable.
- You remain calm and motivated in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
- You have Food Handler Certification. It is an asset.
- You can work in a standing position, bending and moving around for long periods in hot and damp environments, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- You have the flexibility to week days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
