Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting marine vessels and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on ensuring the safety, functionality, and performance of marine assets. The Marine Technician will play a vital role in supporting our operations through technical expertise and hands-on problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on marine vessels and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques
- Install, modify, and upgrade marine systems as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, or replace components
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are met during all operations
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and recommend solutions
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental standards
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of marine systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws is preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy equipment when necessary
- Prior experience working on marine vessels or similar mechanical systems is a plus
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
