Automotive Detailer
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, restoring, and maintaining the appearance of customer and dealership vehicles to the highest standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior vehicle detailing, including washing, waxing, polishing, and vacuuming.
- Clean and condition upholstery, carpets, leather, vinyl, and plastic surfaces.
- Shampoo carpets and seats, remove stains, and eliminate odors.
- Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, and engine compartments as required.
- Apply protective coatings, waxes, sealants, and dressings.
- Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Report any vehicle damage or maintenance concerns to management.
- Maintain detailing equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Safely handle and store detailing chemicals and supplies according to safety guidelines.
- Move and park vehicles safely on dealership or shop property.
- Meet daily productivity and quality goals while maintaining attention to detail.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous automotive detailing experience is an asset but not required; training may be provided.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks using detailing tools and equipment.
Working Conditions
