Summary
A powersports dealer porter's primary responsibilities include moving, cleaning, and organizing powersports vehicles like motorcycles, ATVs, and jet skis, as well as assisting with basic maintenance and dealership upkeep. They prepare vehicles for display, assist technicians, and ensure the service and sales areas are tidy and orderly. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Key duties and responsibilities
- Vehicle movement: Transporting vehicles between storage, the showroom, and the service area.
- Cleaning and detailing: Washing new and used vehicles, and detailing them for display or customer pickup.
- Vehicle preparation: Unloading vehicles from trailers, prepping them for the showroom (e.g., adding gas), and performing basic checks.
- Shop assistance: Assisting service technicians with light tasks and helping with daily shop duties.
- Inventory and organization: Keeping the lot, showroom, and warehouse clean, orderly, and organized.
- General maintenance: Performing light maintenance, such as charging batteries, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dealership's facilities.
