Urgent Hiring – Arborist Climber & Arborist Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Arborist Climber to join our growing team. We operate year-round across the GTA, delivering premium tree care services using modern equipment, industry-leading safety practices, and professional arboricultural standards.

Requirements
- Arborist Climber: Minimum 3+ years of professional tree climbing experience
- Valid DZ or AZ Driver's Licence is an asset (not mandatory)
- Experience with modern climbing techniques, chainsaw operation, bucket trucks, rigging, and wood chippers
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all seasons and varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently.
- Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches or debris safely during tree removal or pruning projects.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities related to tree health, including fertilization and pest management.
- Apply horticultural principles to assess tree health and recommend appropriate care strategies.
- Assist with the setup and operation of GIS tools for mapping and planning tree care projects.
- Maintain all safety protocols during work at heights, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
Skills
- Proven experience in rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning operations.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently for elevated work tasks.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices specific to urban forestry environments.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles relevant to tree health assessment and care.
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to climb trees, lift heavy loads, and work at heights for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team dedicated to safety and quality service.
