Driving Responsibilities:
- Repair machines and building systems
- Investigate and diagnose issues using machine schematics
- Create, repair and test prototypes and production tools such as dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and specialty tools using various metals
- Tool and die repair
What You Bring:
- Relevant diploma or relevant experience required
- Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics; ability to investigate and diagnose issues using machine schematics
- Electrical fundamentals; knowledge of electrical circuits and the electrical code
- Electrical motor controls; understanding of DC motors; understanding of single and three phase AC motors
- Programmable logic controllers; working knowledge of PLC systems and organization
- Mechanical fundamentals; mechanical aptitude and understanding of shop practices
- Mechanical power transmissions; working knowledge of shafts and attachments including couplings, bearings, belt drives and gears
- Pneumatics; understanding of pneumatic theory and basic components
- Hydraulics; working knowledge in concepts of pressure and flow
- CNC machines; experience with CNC machines commonly used in maintenance roles (CNC mill; CNC lathe); plus, experience with CNC machines used in manufacturing
- Tool and Dies; ability to create, repair and test prototypes and production tools such as dies, cutting tools, etc.
- Willing to work on a rotating shift basis
