Job Overview
We are seeking for 4 dynamic individuals (2 for Elliot Lake ON & 2 for Blind River ON) to support high-quality licensed childcare programs. You are passionate about early learning and care, emergent curriculum and life-long learning. You have a strong knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?, the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), and best practices in early childhood education. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational programs, lead curriculum development, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver engaging learning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach educators through observations, reflective dialogue, constructive feedback, and professional learning.
- Support implementation of curriculum, pedagogy, policies, quality standards, and organizational values.
- Collaborate with Centre Supervisor to identify strenghts opportunities for growth and action plans for continuous improvement.
- Support staff onboarding, professional development, and performance growth.
- Assist with monitoring regular compliance, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
- Facilitate individual and team coaching sessions, meetings, and learning opportunities.
- Schedule pedagogical time with educators (individual, team meetings, and intentional side-by-side).
- Provide temporary leadership coverage during planned and unplanned Centre Supervisor absences.
- Assist in the development and implementation of structured support plans, when necessary, that promote accountability, clarity, and success when required.
- Contribute insights from centre work to support system-wide improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Travel required for meetings, training, conferences, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing.
- Bilingual in French and English, required.
- Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working in licensed childcare.
- Proven experience in content development, instructional design, and project management within educational settings.
- Excellent writing skills for creating clear, engaging instructional materials.
- Demonstrated ability in training & development initiatives for educators or learners.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum standards, and assessment methods.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
