GN2 has considerable experience with tailings systems, on-pond assets, pipelines, civil, mechanical, and structural design, plant piping networks, pressure vessels, process skids and dewatering systems.
As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating/updating detailed technical drawings and plans based on sketches provided by field verification mark ups. You will work closely with the client and the rest of the team to ensure that all drawings meet industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with the team and client to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Update drawings based on feedback, maintaining accuracy and alignment with both industry and client requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documents.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports, as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Engineering Design Technology, Drafting Technology, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and construction methods.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to Haves:
- Previous industry experience through internships or co-op programs.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with Trello.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
