Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warranty Administrator & Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. This role is vital in managing warranty claims, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the service department’s operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, dealership experience, and excellent communication skills to ensure a seamless experience for our customers and efficient processing of warranty and service transactions.
Duties
- Process warranty claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation complies with manufacturer requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers dropping off or picking up vehicles, providing professional and friendly service
- Assist customers in understanding repair estimates, services performed, and warranty coverage options
- Upsell additional services or repairs when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
- Handle cash transactions, payments, and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate with technicians and parts department to ensure timely completion of repairs and proper documentation
- Maintain organized records of warranty claims, service orders, and customer interactions
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer warranty guidelines
Experience
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred
- Mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge is a strong advantage, enabling better communication with technicians and understanding of repairs
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle inquiries professionally
- Experience in sales or upselling services to customers is desirable
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, warranty procedures, and cash handling procedures is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing documentation and claims effectively
