Job Description:
0footprint is growing our field services team supporting clients across the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario. We're hiring a Low Voltage / IT Field Technician to install and support structured cabling, networking, security, and AV systems at client sites, including our Toronto locations and an extended on-site assignment in London. This role starts hands-on with installation work and grows into broader network, desktop, and helpdesk support as you build tenure with the team.
Installation & Field Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate structured cabling, copper and pulling fiber
- Mount and configure cameras, access points, and access control/fob readers
- Rack and cable network and server equipment
- Deploy desktop workstations, video doorbells, and paging/speaker systems
- Punch down analog copper for alarm, phone, and fire alarm systems
- Provide on-site and on-demand troubleshooting support for client locations, including our Toronto offices
Growing Into:
- Configuring network firewalls, switches, and access points
- Troubleshooting desktop environments (Windows, Mac, and Linux)
- Supporting Active Directory, Office 365, and Google Workspace
Requirements:
- 1+ years hands-on experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, or IT field support
- Technical degree or diploma is a must
- Comfortable on ladders, step stools, and scissor lifts; able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong spoken and written English — client-facing role
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Willing to travel between London and Toronto as needed
- Diploma/certificate in networking, electronics, or low-voltage systems is an asset
- Interest in growing into network and desktop support is a plus
Pay: $17.91-$23.00 per hour
